Ryan has owned and operated Texas Independent Insurance since 2009. Prior to starting his Independent Agency, Ryan was a captive agent and wrote insurance with Farmers Insurance for 13 years. Switching from the captive agency channel to the independent agency channel has allowed Ryan and his team to be true advocates for their clients by allowing them to provide unbiased insurance reviews and recommendations.
Ryan manages the overall operations of the agency and specializes in new business insurance sales and service for individuals, businesses, and the real estate investor marketplace.
Before he began his insurance career, Ryan played professional baseball in both Arkansas and Tennessee. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University. Ryan is married to his beautiful bride Kimberly, and they have three children: Collin, Carson, and Caroline. He enjoys coaching his kid’s various sport teams, traveling, and ministering to the needs of the people in his community. Ryan and his family are members of Cottonwood Creek Church in Allen where Ryan serves as an ordained Deacon.
Ryan, his wife Kimberly, and his father George Richardson founded the Carson’s Crusaders Foundation in 2010 which provides financial assistance and sibling support to families of children battling solid tumor pediatric cancer. Ryan’s wife serves as President of the foundation.
